200 year old oak tree falls at Wallington

A two hundred year old oak tree, beside Garden Pond, has become a victim of the recent snow and cold weather. It has fallen into the pond and it is blocking a path to the popular Walled Garden at Wallington. Visitors have to follow the road, to get to the Walled Garden entrance.

The pond is home to a wide variety of wildlife and it has been nearly completely frozen over due to the recent cold weather.

The tree has been a feature in the historical grounds and gardens associated with Wallington Hall.
