Views around the Walled Garden - 11/02/11

The 200 year old oak tree that had fallen during the Winter weather has been cut. The path to the Walled garden is now clear. The majority of the tree still remains in Garden Pond, it will be fully removed in the future.

The hard frosts and snow have taken their toll in the Garden and around the grounds and paths. Trees and branches have had to be removed due to damage by the weight of snow.

A great deal of work has been carried out by the Gardeners and volunteers to tidy up the garden and try to get it ready for Spring. Small patches of colour are starting to appear.
